As a financial advisor, David MacLeod enjoys breaking down the technical aspects of his research into plain English so clients can use the information to make good decisions about their future. And he particularly enjoys those moments when a client he has been working with realizes that all those good decisions have culminated into financial independence and they no longer have to work.

David’s interest in finance and investments was kindled when he was a kid. His neighbor—a financial advisor—helped David invest money in the stock market as a way to save for college and learn more about investing. David enjoyed the experience so much, he realized he wanted to help others make good use of their money. Fast-forward to 2006—Eclectic Associates offered him a job, and he jumped at the opportunity to work with a fee-only firm that treats people right.

The Fullerton resident is active both at work and in the community. A member and past president of the Fullerton Sunrise Rotary Club, he is also a member of Mercy Commons Church in Fullerton and a board member for Solidarity, a Fullerton-based non-profit. He also enjoys giving pro bono financial advice through community events held by the Financial Planning Association. But most of all, he treasures his time with his wife and three young children.
